In 1937 in Fukuoka, the now world-famous Hakata tonkotsu ramen was actually created by mistake! When restaurant chefs accidentally overboiled the pork bones, the broth turned extra milky and white. But after tasting it, they realized they had discovered something special — and the rich, creamy Hakata tonkotsu broth was born.
